In 1979 I came to this country as a young inexperienced 19 year old from Kingston Jamaica in the West Indies. I had no clue what my future would be in this country. Growing up on the island I would always hear people say that America is the land of freedom and opportunity, a place where you could be whatever you wanted to be. After living in this great country for the past 37 years, I am a living example that America is truly the land of freedom and opportunity. This freedom and opportunity has allowed me to maximize my ability to the fullest and I’m truly grateful.
